Crock Pot Beef Stew

And yet another crock pot beef stew recipe! :) This is one of the few "soups" my husband will let me make without too much complaint. He is just not a soup/stew guy, even though this is very "meat and potatoes"!

The original recipe has several additional steps, including sauteing the onions and browning the meat, but I took the easy route and toss everything straight into the crock pot and enjoy this one very much! I often use half sweet potatoes and half regular potatoes and sometimes add in mushrooms as well. We usually serve stew with a nice hearty Irish soda bread.

All the ingredients, laid out on the counter.
Combining the meat with the flour in the crock pot.
 Meat and flour combined.
 Dicing up some carrots...
 potatoes...
 and onion!
Everything together in the crock pot.
Cooking on low for 8 hours.
Cooked until tender and ready to enjoy!
Beef stew from the crock pot, filling and tasty for
a cool evening!
